Ordinances

We believe that believer’s baptism and the Lord’s Supper are ordinances to be observed by the Church during this present age.

By baptism we mean the immersion of believers upon confession of faith in the Lord Jesus Christ which is identification with His death, burial and resurrection. Baptism conveys no regenerating grace.

By the Lord’s Supper we mean a remembrance of the sacrifice of the Body and Blood of our Lord Jesus Christ until He comes.

These ordinances are not regarded as a means of salvation. The Lord’s Supper is not a sacrifice for sin, nor is there any change in the substance of the bread and wine.
