Too often church attendance is substituted by temporal trivialities that we consider as legitimate excuse.

Our walk must match our talk. Our spoken testimonies are vital and integral to the spread of the gospel but will be of little value if those words are not balanced with our godly living.

When we inform the conscience with biblical truth we are telling it to accurately hold us in check against the standard of Scripture.

when we gather together our singing of psalms, hymns and spiritual songs should be sung to the Lord in unison of heart that arises to Him as an aroma of thanksgiving.

It needs be said; the above job description is all inclusive of the church worker, the missionary, as well as the husband & wife in the home, the factory worker, the student as well as the retiree!

The purpose of the church therefore needs be a body of believers who uphold, live out, teach, explain, encourage, exemplify, embrace and submit to the truth of God as found in His Word.

We must pursue this holy walk with diligence, otherwise we will loose sight of the sin that we were saved from. We will be spiritually blind and no use to God, ourselves and those around us.

Whatever the fear, it can and does invade our minds and can set us on a course that is contrary to the mind and will of God.

Emotions are a wonderful gift from God. And our relationship with God should bring to our lives strong godly affections. However, our emotions shouldn’t be vested with final authority. This should be reserved for God’s Word alone.

Born again believers are on a spiritual battlefield every single day.
