We must never loose sight of the truth that glory belongs to God alone...

Justification is the act of God by which he declares sinners to be righteous because of Christ alone, by grace alone, through faith alone.

apart from this grace and the regenerating work of the Holy Spirit that flows from it, no one would be saved, since in our lost condition, human beings are not capable of winning, seeking out, or even cooperating with God's grace.

His sinless life and substitutionary atonement alone are sufficient for our justification, and any gospel that fails to acknowledge that or denies it is a false gospel that will save no one.

the Bible alone is our ultimate authority not the pope, not the church, not the traditions of the church or church councils, still less personal intimations or subjective feelings, but Scripture only.

Uninvited, negative circumstances will come into our lives. The question is, how will we react to such things?

As your pastor, who has been called to lead and nurture the sheep, no matter where you are in your biblical understanding, I urge you not to let non-essential matters in our salvation cause any rift among us.

Glowing tributes at our graveside is not what the Christian’s testimony is to be. The believers living, every day testimony is what really counts. 

Let us be God’s people who, rather than allow our minds be captivated by fears, are those who have fixed minds and hearts on the hope we have in Jesus Christ. 

It doesn’t matter if your congregation is 33% White Baby Boomers and 17.7% Asian millennial with college degrees and 7.9% vegan Hipsters. Stop trying to control who comes in the door and start controlling the only thing you can (and should) — your own, personal faithfulness to the Word.
