The Church glorifies Christ as it becomes more like Him. Believers have the responsibility to follow after Christ and His holiness, and more and more reflect His light into the world.

Not all that glitters is gold, and not everything that claims to be of God is. The Spirit's work is always with the truth and the Word, and never contrary to it.

The Spirit's work in this world deserves all honour and respect. The third member of the Godhead, He is not a force, but the eternal God.

Jesus spoke to His disciples in John 15 to prepare them for persecution ahead. He was to leave, but God would be with them through the Holy Spirit.

The world hates Christians because it hates Christ. There is enmity between Christians and those who are not because God dwells with believers, and the light of God exposes sin. Man hates having sin exposed, and the guilt it brings.

Biblical love is loving even when our love is not reciprocated. It is an easy thing to love someone who loves us, but only Christ can empower us to love supernaturally.

Do we have peace and joy in Christ, or do we find we seek it in other things? The key to abundant peace and joy is closeness with God through Christ.

Are we fulfilling the purpose for which we were redeemed? True Christians will bear fruit, and the Father is glorified when we do so.

Real peace is not absence of strife. The word "shalom" means the presence and blessing of God even in the midst of trouble.

We would not have the truth of the Word if the Spirit did not reveal it to the Church. Jesus imparted truth to His disciples, and the Spirit later brought it perfectly to memory so they could write it in Scripture.

The greatest privileges come only to those who are truly believers. Believers have the high privilege of fellowship with God.

So much of our fears and anxieties come from uncertainties in our lives. When Jesus told the disciples He was leaving, they were filled with fear instead of trusting Him. To strengthen their faith, He promised them assurance of faith, and the coming of the Holy Spirit.

Because of Jesus' pledge to His disciples to give them a future hope, they could look past their circumstances. We too have the future hope of heaven awaiting us, and His promises for us will stand.

Sinful fear occurs when we focus in on our selves and try to control our circumstances. We all experience fear and anxiety; the question is what we do with it.

Fear paralyzes us from doing what we need to. When Jesus told the disciples He was going to leave them, they were filled with fear instead of trusting Him.

The world's goal is always to pull us away from the glories of Heaven and of Christ. Where is our heart?

Christ's death and resurrection brought him glory both of the cross, and of the Church. We see salvation accomplished on the cross, and the fruits it bore in the church.

Just as fool's gold looks a lot like real gold, so false disciples can look a lot like real disciples. Despite having been with Jesus Himself for over three years, Judas never believed.

True and Christlike love is not self-love. Biblical agape love is the opposite of selfishness, because it is self-sacrifice.

In John 12, Jesus explains to His disciples why Israel didn't receive their Messiah. It was never a matter of evidence, but of unbelief.
