Our justification and eternal life is dependent upon the resurrection.

When we look at the cross from God’s perspective, we see that it is both His righteousness and His grace on display. He does it all - Christ pays the price for our righteousness and God works His grace in our life, giving us the gift that is salvation.

God wants us to know that His nature is unchallengeable and so He devised a plan of redemption for us (from before the foundation of the world), which would reveal His righteousness. And this plan was ultimately fulfilled at the cross.

These are the issues dealing with Christian freedom—things that fall between what God prohibits and what He commands.

Knowledge is the intake of information, true or false. Where as wisdom is all about living out what is right and true according to God’s Word.

This means hard work. This means to discipline ourselves, our time, our priorities, to pray, read the Scripture, and to encourage the saints.

It’s only upon being justified by God through faith in Jesus Christ that the work of God in sanctifying the new believer begins.

But true spiritual encouragement that builds another up must be more than opinions, ideas, and emotional closeness - it must be solidly based on the promises of Scripture.

God has promised, those who have their hope firmly fixed on Jesus Christ will never be disappointed, no matter what the year/s ahead have in store for us. 

Oh the joy and adoration that should fill our hearts as we contemplate our “Saviour who is Christ the Lord.”
