Because, without the resurrection of Jesus Christ, our faith is in vain.

God longs for His redeemed people to praise Him. He longs for His people to give him glory.

It is so easy to get caught up in the hype of culture and self-preservation, where trusting in anything other than our own abilities and resources is considered a weakness and even futile.

Apostle Peter spoke of a time in the future where not only creation would be refreshed and restored to its former glory, but a time when God’s people would be in the presence of the Lord - not for a brief holiday, but forever!

This is sadly a phrase that we can tend to use as an excuse for a lack of willingness or readiness to serve the Lord and His people.

So as we remember the man Billy Graham this morning, let us even more so be taken up in awe of the God who truly saves us. May our lives constantly reflect the saving grace that he has been freely given.

God cares about our attitudes just as much as our actions and he knows our true motives behind our actions even if we try to cover them up.

Just as we need water to live daily, we need the God’s living water for eternal life.

Being involved in mission is not about us - it is all about God and His glory!

Let our ongoing resolves progress with the understanding that God is the one enabling, compelling, and willing all that takes place as we discipline ourselves unto godliness.
