We loose sight of God’s objective truth concerning the gospel and what God has done and promised and give way to the overpowering subjective doubts and notions of our fickle minds. 

We are saved “through” faith but not by faith. 

Whatever the wrong against us may be, the Christian’s default should be to forgive and hopefully restore broken relationships. 

We must never lose the focus of declaring man’s need of a Saviour in Jesus Christ alone.

Is the Lord truthfully and personally, your Shepherd?

Where do you seek satisfaction?

This woeful spiritual state has at its root a coldness in heart toward spiritual things, a lack of devotion to Christ, and usually results in a declining interest of meeting with God’s people.

The difference of course depends on where the departed one was with Lord when they died. 

But to “wait for the Lord” does not mean that we sit back and do nothing.

"Will we be held in any way accountable - are we responsible in way for our obedience to this commission?"
