The Lord may well bless us with possessions but it’s our attitude toward them that the Lord takes serious note of. 

Jesus Christ is the bible’s grand subject, which has our eternal good at the heart of its message, which is all about bringing ultimate glory to God.

We are called to make disciples and this happens through the witness and testimony of God’s Word and our own faith displayed.

Are we more grateful for the blessings God gives us, than we are for Him who gives us those blessings?

We need not only profess faith in God but we must also possess God personally, through faith alone in Jesus Christ.

It is one thing to appreciate and even love the truth of God’s word, but a totally different thing to apply that truth to our lives.

Developing a genuine friendship as described in our text is not easy.

What does the fear of God really mean as expressed in the Bible?

We know that to ‘reach one’s full potential’ is bound up in the wisdom of God and certainly not in the wisdom of man. 

The Lord said, “I am the way, and the truth and the life and no person comes to the Father but by Me.” (Jn 14:6).
