The Joy of Forgiveness
Psalm 32

The joy of being forgiven is such a great gift. It is open to anyone who truly repents.
Joy of God's forgiveness in confession of sin (v. 1 - 5). If we do not feel joy, do we have unconfessed sin or resentment in our hearts? Sin is rebellion against God, and refusing to submit to Him. Forgiveness is conditional on honest repentance.
Joy of God's forgiveness in confident trust (v. 6 - 7). Once we confess our sins, then we have assurance that God is going to protect and comfort us. He is our security, not the things of the world.
Joy of God's forgiveness in humble submission (v. 8 - 11). Don't be stubborn and unrepentant so God has to use discipline. The wicked have many troubles from their sin, but we can experience the lovingkindness of God. It is a choice to obey and confess.
